Date night in Encinitas

Living in Encinitas there are lots of great choices for a date night. We chose the 3rd corner wine shop and bistro because of the off the radar wine choices with great prices. You can shop for your bottle in the store and bring it to your table (just a $5 corkage fee).

It was a warm summer evening so we chose to sit outside on the patio. Inside there is a cozy bar that was bustling with happy people who thought ahead to take advantage of the happy hour. 

I chose the mussels with the truffle fries which went great with our french bottle of wine. Our waiter and the rest of the staff gave great service. We can't wait until our next date!

Encinitas Library

The library is one of the perks living in the city of Encinitas. Don't let the sleek design fool you. The building provides you with the feeling of belonging the second you walk in the front door. There are plenty of computers to use or bring your own, the WIFI is free.

The SS Encinitas and SS Moonlight boat houses in downtown Encinitas are located at 726 & 732 Third Street. At first glance you wonder what you are looking at. One big house or are they separate? Yes they are 2 separate dwellings built on sight in the late 1920's by architect, Miles Kellogg. The Encinitas Preservation Association own both homes. They are being rented out to raise funds to turn them into a museum.
